About the Role
Dial-A-Bus is looking for reliable, service-focused relationship builders to join our team of drivers.
Our drivers are the heart of the Dial-A-Bus transportation programs. They provide transportation services using Dial-A-Bus and BAT vehicles to help a variety of folks to live independent, quality lives by providing them access to services.
We are looking for Part Time and Full Time drivers for our clients. The work hours available vary, as well as the days of the week, so flexibility is important.

What You’ll Do
Provide safe transportation for our clients with a focus on compassion, community, dignity, respect, and patience.
Transport clients according to the schedule and/or instructions given by our dispatchers and notify dispatch of any issues as they emerge.
Securement of wheelchairs and assisting clients with securing mobility devices, bags, packages, and other items, as appropriate.
Assist clients between the vehicle and the door of their start location and destination location utilizing appropriate assistance techniques, as appropriate.
Utilize smartphones and radios to coordinate schedules, input ride information records, and connect with the dispatch team.
Follow approved operational procedures.
Report all vehicle incidents/accidents to the safety manager.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including monitoring and maintaining proper vehicle fuel levels.
Maintain client confidentiality.

Requirements
Must be at least 25 years of age.
Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving history.
Ability to secure wheelchairs safely in enclosed spaces.
Access reliable transportation to our office in Corvallis, Oregon.
Ability to pass a background check . If a record exists, the nature and severity of charges will be discussed with candidates and, in some cases, may not be a barrier to employment.
Our drivers must participate and remain in compliance with the FTA Drug and Alcohol testing program, including pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident testing. This includes marijuana.
Welcomed Additional Qualifications
Bilingual.
Experience operating a large vehicle.
CDL Certification
Experience with using conflict resolution or de-escalation techniques.
Experience, lived or otherwise, working with older adults, people with disabilities, and children.
Experience and comfort with using smartphones or tablets.

We provide around 90,000 rides and support more than 1,000 individuals each year.
